General Questions
Yes, we are open year-round! The Columbia Valley (specifically Fairmont Hot Springs) is a destination that has something to offer in every season.
Yes, we live on-site in an apartment below Wilder Lodge. Our apartment has a separate entrance to ensure that our guests are given personal space and peaceful enjoyment of common areas within the bed and breakfast.
After checking in and helping you to get settled, we will leave you to enjoy your stay with as little (or as much) host interaction as you desire. We are always happy to share our local recommendations (restaurants, activities, etc) with you. In fact, you may even find a few in our travel guide.
Gosh, no! Please do not under any circumstance feel obligated to socialize with us. Of course, we welcome you to join us, our family, employees or other guests for a cup of coffee or tea throughout your stay.
Some guests will linger and socialize with fellow guests or hosts over breakfast, or near the fireplace in the evening for a cup of hot cocoa… Often guests will keep to themselves, which is completely fine. There is no right or wrong way to interact at a bed and breakfast, and we’ve become experts at gauging our guests desire for privacy or interaction. We’re happy to say hi and let you pass through to your room, spend a minute or two chatting, or even sit down with you for an aperitivo. It’s completely up to you!
Paying guests will always be welcome at Wilder Lodge. Outside guests are politely declined and invited to come back as a paying guest. Amber would be more than happy to direct you to public spaces where you can gather with your friends and family.
We pre-authorize a $200 damage deposit to ensure there are no damages incurred.
A credit card will be required to make your reservation at Wilder Lodge, and will need to be paid at the time of booking, either on our website or by calling one of our hosts at (250) 288-1115.
We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance will be charged 7 days prior to arrival.
Cancellations made 30+ days prior to the arrival date will receive a full refund of their deposit.
Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will result in forfeiture of the 50% deposit.
Reservations cancelled within 7 days of arrival, no-shows, or unused portions of a stay are non-refundable and will be charged to the credit card on file.
As a small boutique property with limited room inventory, last-minute cancellations have a significant impact on our business and our ability to rebook rooms. If we are able to successfully rebook your room(s), a partial or full refund may be considered at our discretion.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen changes to your travel plans.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
